Holy smokes, I have so much to catch up on, so this next year will be speed posts just to get everything documented.
My client Alisha and I headed up to Seattle to do our first Spartan Beast! A beast is 12-15 miles with 30+ obstacles. Seattle was BEAUTIFUL! We stayed with my aunt Pooh-Bear and she really went out of her way to show us around. It was amazing! After the race we headed down to Rachel and Ben's house and had a fun couple days with them.
A few things memorable, was running around Chamber's Bay like I used to. I was surprised at the emotion I had during the run. Last time I did that run, I was sad and struggling. I had sad tears remembering those hard times in the rain, but also some happy tears at how strong and happy I feel like I've become. I'm very grateful for the growth I've had, and fulfilled in what I'm becoming.
To my surprise (and because of how Spartan races start- 200 new racers to set loose every 15 minutes all day), I WON open division!! I finished my race and went back and finished Alisha's last 5 miles with her. She did awesome, and despite rolling an ankle finished with a great time!

| Riding the Ducks! Pooh Bear had one of Zack's friends guiding it so it made it entertaining. |

| This obstacle was a killer!! |
I took Alisha to explore Point Defiance, one of my saving graces in Washington. I LOVE those trails and they make me happy!!!

| Alisha and I hurried out to walk the Narrow's Bridge |
 |
| Morning runs with Max along Day Island |
 |
| MmmmMM, Steamer's fish |
 |
| So great to spend the day with Rachel! We went to Steamer's, went to a foot massage place that blew my mind, had dessert at Anthony's, walked the new areas at Ruston Way. I was grateful that she took the day to spend time with me. |

| So much fun with Rach and Ben's kids!! |
Oh my goodness, this makes me laugh. Tiffany is one of my favorite clients. She is the sweetest person you'll ever meet and just hilarious. As I was walking into work after I got home, I found her doing this in the parking lot.
One thing that I learned on this trip, was the power of attitude. My travel companion is a rather negative individual, and it was hard dealing with that. It's amazing how two people can be in the same circumstance but have two different outcomes based on their attitude. How important it is to be happy and positive to create a fulfilled, positive outcome! I'm determined to live a life full of looking for the amazing.
