May happenings

Here are some pictures of things happening in the month of May:
Jaylen wrote this note to his friend Brody and went to deliver it to him. So cute how sharing he is with his feelings!

Jaylen was helping me fold laundry until he literally fell over asleep.

Our first salad with our first real garden! We love our spinach and lettuce!

My client Carol is a funny lady. She was all about Aaron's hug.

Jaylen was determined one night to sleep outside in his tent on the trampoline. It was a school night, so we said no. When we went to check on him after putting him to bed in his BED, we found him all snuggled up in his tent on the floor of his room. That is one little determined boy!

Our neighborhood did a potluck get together at our neighborhood park. It was such a fun evening. Lots of laughs, food and chatting.

Great group of ladies right here. Julie, Katie, Tami and Stephanie. Have I told the story about Katie (one with pink pants?) She's my visiting teacher and as we were talking one day she mentioned her mom is like, THE RELIEF SOCIETY PRESIDENT for the whole church (Linda Burton). I had no idea. Pretty cool.

Gavin and his best buddy Olivia in nursery. These 2 are fantastic together!

Oh, I love these two!

Gorgeous run up to Sand Hollow lake

My tans lines are pretty amazing after doing this tri. It looks like I'm wearing tights from my ankles to mid thigh.

Gavin completely zonked out at the dentist. He must have been pretty dang tired!
Dog sitting. Gavin loves to give the doggies their "poop treats."

These two girls are our back yard neighbors. They came with us to the park one night. I was laughing that their 7 & 6 year old was as tall as Jaylen up on the higher platform. Such cuties. Sabrina (on the left) is in Jaylen's class. At one time he said, "I think I'm going to marry Sabrina. She's fun to play with."

Sleeping babies are the BEST. Gavin and I took a little nap together.

Jaylen fast asleep with Daddy on a scout's camp out Aaron took him on.

Riding to school with Jaylen. When did he get so big?!?

More cute notes for Brody
Aaron left to turn some things in for school. A few minutes after Gavin came out all changed with a hat and Jaylen's backpack on announcing he was headed to school. He walked out to the driveway and was ready to start walking.

Such a little Daddy.
So Jaylen and I walked him down the street, around the round about and back to the backyard. Jaylen gave him a few "centers" to do and we helped him feel like he had gone to school. Such a cute little boy!

Our garden is starting to emerge! Watermelon, cilantro, onions, carrots, sugar peas, lettuce, spinach, cucumbers, cantelope, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, spaghetti squash and corn!

Easter hunt

Totally random, but these are from Easter on Aaron's phone. I had some work commitments so I couldn't make it to the city's hunt, so Aaron took the kids and they had a blast.

Love these little cuties and the buddies they are!

My 30th birthday

The spoiling continued right into Monday, for my 30th birthday! I had a full morning of training clients and then spent the afternoon at the Biggest Loser so it was full and busy, but I had a fun evening with my cute family.

Aaron happened to get a cheesecake which was always my favorite growing up. Man, that thing was tasty. It was fun seeing the boy's excitement over singing and eating cake.

Love to snuggle this nose picking sweetie!

These boys were SO silly at the restaurant. They sat together on one side while Aaron and I  watched their craziness on the other side.  Everyone in the restaurant was well aware that it was my birthday by the end by their constant loud singing (see video below). Such a fun evening with these boys!

I am SOOOO excited to pick out my own bike soon!!! Best surprise!

Mother's Day 2014

I was so ridiculously spoiled over Mother's Day. Quite possibly the best Mother's Day yet.

The boys came in early to snuggle me. I absolutely love when this happens. Since I'm working and training a lot in the early mornings there aren't as many mornings where I get to snuggle and play with them early. It's precious time.

After a bit, Aaron and the boys left and soon Jaylen comes in walking tall, wearing his suit with a white towel draped over his arm, with a bowl and platter to deliver me a breakfast menu. He talked with a "proper" voice asking "What would you like Ma'am?" It was seriously adorable. He was beaming.
They brought in fruit and dip that we all ate in bed. It was so yummy.
After being served my lunch menu by Jaylen, Aaron had the boys bring out lotion and give me a foot/leg rub. It was cute to watch them working on rubbing my feet and legs. Aaron was so sweet, telling me that he needed to start the boys young loving and caring for me. Precious! I'm so lucky!
We were dog sitting for my client over the weekend. Jaylen was laughing at how Sterling just popped up on his lap and stared at him.

 My menus:

I was stuffed ALL DAY LONG. Aaron knows the key to my heart!

Cute card Aaron gave me.

Jaylen surprising me with my lunch menu after church.

I felt spoiled and lucky all day by my boys. I really lucked out marrying Aaron. I had no idea what a gold mine I was getting when we got married! He's such a sweet, loving caring husband and dad. So fun and thoughtful, always encouraging the boys to respect, care and love for me. I feel so fortunate to have the two cute boys I have. They're so special and sweet in their own ways. Jaylen has that soft, sweet, snuggly side about him that's just adorable. Gavin is such a fun, silly little boy- always making me laugh and smile. His cute snuggles with his special blanket are the best.  I have much to be grateful for, but these three boys of mine are definitely the greatest of my blessings!

Bike ride/run with Jaylen

I normally go on a long run on Saturdays and since Jaylen is now bike riding, I got him to go along with me on a "secret" trail. It was our first time riding/running together. It was adorable. He was so cute chatting my ear off about our "secret trail" and about his little life during our ride. It was perfect! We were at a great speed for each other.

Once we got 5 miles out, we stopped for a special treat I brought. It was so cute to watch Jaylen pick out the "best rock" for us to sit on and "snuggle."

I love my special little boy!
After our little treat, he looked up at this cliff right off the trail and said, "Mom, let's see if we can climb that?!" It was steep and high- I was impressed with Jaylen's ambition to even think it was possible. So impressed, I told Jaylen we could do anything we set our mind to, so up this cliff we climbed.
As he climbed he constantly chattered. "Mom, I'm using my brain so smart to pick what path I'm going to take." "I'm so good at hiking." "I don't know if I can climb this rock. No nevermind, it's so easy for me because I'm so good." It was cute to watch his little brain realize how awesome he was at tackling his goal.

He's such a cute little explorer. He loved to go first and blaze the trail. Such sweet memories from hiking this mountain together. At one point he said, "Dad would be freaking out right now." We were totally safe, but it was definitely something Aaron would be nervous about. It made me chuckle.

Relooking at this picture makes me teary eyed. When we reached the flat summit, Jaylen lit up, ran to the edge and exclaimed, "WE DID IT!" He was so proud of himself and was beaming. (That trail down below is where we started) We sat and looked out over the beautiful area and snuggled. I loved talking to him about how  he'd set his mind to a hard goal and had made it and how he can do anything he wants to to in his life if he works at it.

I couldn't think of a better way to bring in Mother's Day than to have this sweet adventure with my first born.

The way back was down hill, so it was fun to watch Jaylen cruise on his bike. He'd stop and wait for me after a big hill, and I told him he could keep going and I'd catch up to him if he wanted. He said, "Mom, I just want to stay right by your side all the time." 10 miles with him was heaven. Love my little adventurer!
