"Dribbling"

After the Thunderbirds games we go out on the floor and Jaylen loves watching everyone bouncing balls around and shooting. Some of our friends that we see at all the games has a son that was playing with Jaylen and bouncing a ball right in front of him for awhile. Jaylen started picking up the ball and "dribbling" with his hand when he tossed it. It was so cute! We had quite the fan section cheering for him, since he was so excited about his new found talent!

Our forward facing boy!

Wow, our little baby is quickly turning into a little boy. He finally weighs enough to have him forward facing in our car- so we switched him around on Thursday! I'm not sure what to think about it though-- he's so marveled by looking around that he isn't napping in the car when I count on it, and he looks at me through the rear view mirror, and he gives me the cutest smile when I look back- so I'm a hazard on the road. He just keeps growing up so fast!

Turtle!

Jaylen stuck in a basket....

Stuck in a basket..

Jaylen was off playing and next thing we know, we hear him shrieking... we look over and he somehow got himself stuck in the basket and couldn't get out. He also had his little milkies dripping from his mouth. Such a silly boy.

Daddy wanna-be

Jaylen loves to put Aaron's headphones on during the basketball games and listen to the sports announcer (or just look just like Daddy with headphones on!) Cute!

Cute boys

Jaylen has discovered how to crawl up on our couch- and after dinner tonight, he crawled right up on Aaron's lap and sat next to him. He's such a cuddly little guy and it was too adorable.. I also love their similar look here!

Recipes?

I am dying for some new food ideas. I love my recipes- but I've been using the same ones for almost 5 years now. Any one have any great tried and true recipes out there that you love??

Sleepy boy..

Jaylen is adorable anytime, but he's so precious and peacefully when he sleeps. I love it. He plays so hard in the daycare while I train- that he's always conked out by the time we get home. He finally wore a hole in his shoes a couple days ago from all his hard playing!

Little Monkey..

Jaylen really loves bananas. He takes the biggest bites!

Tries to hold it all in his mouth...

This is always the face after the banana is all gone.....

Flowers

Jaylen loved playing with one of the beautiful flowers Aaron brought home to me. I'm lucky to have such sweet boys!

Sleepy boy

We just love when he falls asleep on our shoulders... This is a cute one from after church this past Sunday. (Too bad it wasn't this way DURING church, oh well!)

Box...

After we got home from Costco- Jaylen was in love with this box they put our groceries in. He would step in with both feet and step out and would laugh! It was adorable and pretty funny to find little things like this that he loves. When we put him to bed, we put it right by his door, and first thing in the morning when I got him out of his crib- he went straight to the box and played for 30 minutes with it (until it was pretty much destroyed).

Daddy fun

Jaylen loves playing with his daddy!

Playtime with Daddy

Adorable.

Bird dog?

Jaylen loved chasing these little birds all over the park at the zoo! We were constantly chasing him down!

Daughter to Dad

Here's my personal dedication to my dad. It's been 4 years ago today that my dad passed away from leukemia. He is well missed.. especially since having Jaylen, I've missed sharing our funny stories and hearing his contagious laugh. Love you Dad!

Happy Birthday Aaron!

For Aaron's birthday, I surprised him with a game of golf with just the two of us. The weather was great! He was also thrilled to get Ticket to Ride from Merilee! We've had fun playing it together since! Happy Birthday sweetie!

Happy boy

He was loving this noise I was making... He has such a contagious laugh!

Toothbrush time!

Now that our little guy has almost 4 teeth, we're working on using the toothbrush routinely. As you can see, Jaylen has no problem with the toothbrush. He loves it, and walks around with it in his mouth.

Hungry?

Gets every last morsel.

More from the Albuquerque Zoo

Just a few more at the zoo!

Lions, Tigers and Bears! Oh my!

l

Our first trip to the Albuquerque Zoo was awesome. Jaylen is just the right age to enjoy the animals. He loved getting up close to the tanks and watch the snakes, piranhas, alligators and catfish swim around. We also enjoyed seeing the chimps and monkeys- There was a baby chimp who acted so much like Jaylen in the grass. He sat there pulling on the weeds, throwing things above his head, and was the same size as Jaylen. I think they'd be good friends together. We couldn't help chuckle at the similarities. We also stopped to catch a picture of Jaylen with the cougars- go BYU! We stopped and let Jaylen roam in a park area- and he chased the birds all over the place. It was hilarious.

Pink Flamingos?

Well, on our first trip to the zoo, lets just say.. the pink flamingos were not a hit with Jaylen. I love his serious face here. I think all the noise and commotion they caused wasn't too fun for him.
