I am officially TERM! 37 weeks! I went in for my first weekly appointment on Thursday and after checking me she said I'm dilated to a 3 and 75% effaced. I was like, "WHAT!!?!?" I've never been progressed with my other two before I went into labor. She said some people can walk around for weeks like that, were others will only be a short time. It got me freaked out! Holy smokes.
And especially freaked out because I agreed to sub for a co worker on Saturday and once everything was said and done I had SIX classes in a row to teach from 10 am-4:30 pm, so I was pretty nervous I'd be rushing myself to the hospital during class, but obviously, I'm still here so I survived it all. Long day, but it was a victory to make it through and still be able to pull off burpees, pushups and teaching in my current condition.
I way different at this point in my pregnancy in comparison. I never really had Braxton Hicks before and I've had lots of cramping going on this time around. The progression is definitely different, although I can't necessarily feel that. I don't have an itchy belly like I remember having with the other two.
I'm still getting, "You are so small!" and it shouldn't bother me as much as it does, but it's irritating. I'm 35 lbs up and I feel every single pound. All the little things I struggle to do (getting in the car, shutting the car door, sleeping, rolling over, tying shoes, putting my pants on...) are frustrating. I feel like I'm trapped in a fat suit that isn't me. I tire so much more easy and just feel this general feeling of "icky-ness" all the time. I often wonder if this is how unhealthy, unfit people feel on a normal basis?! Oh, if they only knew what a healthy lifestyle would do for them! When people see me at the gym or teaching, I'm pulling all my energy together to make it happen and it's truly when I feel the most normal, but I'm not just coasting through this like it's easy. Being pregnant is definitely the hardest thing for me (and especially coming from being 9+ months now).
I have to pee ALL THE TIME. My bladder hates me. I can't sleep. It's hard to get comfortable to go to sleep, once I'm lying down I ache and baby decides to kick every organ and rib I have, and I wake up at 3 every night and can't get back to sleep (hence why I'm blogging at 5 am).
After hearing about my progression and how it really could be any day now, it's made me anxious! Aaron just interviewed for a GREAT position this week and he's feeling really confident on and will hear officially next week if he got it or not. This is such an INCREDIBLY fantastic opportunity for our family. It'd be right down the street at SkyWest, in a manager position that would be fulfilling for Aaron. How he's juggling school and work is beyond me, but he's AMAZING! How many life changes can we handle in a week?!? Exciting times ahead.
I have co workers lined up to sub my classes but they are wanting to get through the St. George Marathon next week before they take over for me. I have clients who have scheduled up until my due date, hoping to get some progress in before I'm out for a few weeks. As uncomfortable and eager I am to feel healthy and "normal" (You know, without someone jabbing me in the ribs and being able to put my socks on), I'm anxious about all that I feel like I need to get done. Am I ready to be outnumbered with children?!? At this point, I'm so excited to see our cute baby Miles and can't wait to see him become the cute little boy that I know our other two boys are becoming. I can survive this newborn stage. I WILL SURVIVE, right?!?!
