Lately

Here are pictures from lately:
Gavin figured out how to drive the Jeep on his own- so cute how proud he was!

Aaron's RUNNING! We went on a little 3 mile run around Day Island and he did AWESOME! He was so excited when we came home, that he was yelling and scaring the neighbors- ha!

Cutest little body!!

Birthday party- Gavin sitting next to his mini-me, nursery buddy.

I have over 40 self taken portraits of Jaylen on my phone. He loves to use the camera.

Jaylen's cute Valentine's card

Aaron and Jaylen gave me this adorable picture collage for Valentine's Day. Love it!

I've been in a basketball league in the Puyallup stake. It's been a blast! It's a fun group of ladies and so far we've beaten every team- by ALOT. Last week's game was 50 to 19. It's been so fun to play competitive ball again!

This run never gets old!

Jaylen put on a couple of my heels, grabbed my scriptures and announced he was going on a date with Aunt Heather. On his way out he yelled, "Watch Gavin, okay?!"

Jaylen was waiting for Aaron to get home from work late, and couldn't last. He zonked out before he got home.

I can't get this to download upright. Jaylen wrote this- apparently we're going on a date for 10-100 days while Aaron and Gavin are at home.

Poor Gavin was walking up the outside stairs while I was talking to Mont. Max ran down the stairs and knocked Gavin down. He started rolling down the stairs. It was horrible to watch! I tried to grab him, but he kept rolling head over heels. He was bleeding out his nose and mouth and it was freaking me out!! He calmed down fairly quickly and hasn't seemed bothered since, but completely looks abused. Poor little guy has bruises, nail marks and scrapes everywhere!

I came home to find sentences that Jaylen had written all over his play dryer box. I especially smiled when I saw, "Momme love me." Yes, I sure do!

Helping a friend move into a house on Day Island. The kids loved playing in her yard!

More of Jaylen's writing. I can't believe he's writing sentences!! When did this happen?!?!

Gavin, wound a little TOO tight!

Cute buddies
Jaylen was hanging to consciousness for dear life tonight at bedtime, and his last mumbled words were, "Please tell Daddy to come in to give me some kisses..." as he trailed off to la-la land. So sweet. We all hate when he works late.

Also, during his bedtime prayer he prayed, "Thank you for the attendance I have in my wonderful life." Cracked me up!!

What makes filling my little boys bellies with food they love and tucking them into their warm beds, all snuggled up, so fulfilling? It's little things like this that remind me why motherhood is so worth it.

Silly Gavin

My Valentine

Aaron is the best.  I was thinking about him on the way to work the other day, giggling about all job experiences he's had. He knows his flowers and how to handle rodents in the house- ha! Aaron has truly done whatever it takes to provide for our family. We are so lucky to have him.

Here's the jobs Aaron's had in our married life:
Customer Service Rep and warehouse packer for Costume Craze
Plasma Donater
Live in caretaker at Beehive Homes
Cutco knife sales
Student
Deals on Wheels
Remodeling/selling investment house
Property manager
Wholesale flower distributor
Painter
Financial representative at AIG Financial
Account Executive for NBA DL
Pest Control tech
Athletics Associate at UNM
Executive director at SWSI
Fitness director
Landscaping
Call center
Tax preparer

I'm sure I probably missed something. Such a wealth of experiences and knowledge.

I appreciate his amazing attitude towards our family. He is always willing to help out where it's needed and takes good care of us. He works so hard to provide for us, go to school, and give us all the love and attention that we need. He doesn't complain, even after waking up to find him still studying at 2 am. He's so supportive of me and the things I love to do. He's truly a team player when it comes to parenting, and always is willing to help out with the kids and give them all the love, attention and daddy time they need. He adores our boys and is such a good example to them. He's so playful and optimistic. Always giving people the benefit of the doubt and seeing the good around him. I can't wait for him to get home every day because he makes everything better. He's a sweet, caring, loving giant. Always doing something silly and unashamed to be who he is and do what he wants- it's amazing to see the confidence and solid foundation he has. He's a good example to me and I learn from him all the time. I lean on him for sound advice and a listening ear often. I am a lucky woman. I didn't even realize just how amazing the man was that I was marrying 8 1/2 years ago, but I am forever grateful we are in this life together.

Love you, Aaron Stewart!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Scott!

We went to Grandpa Scott's grave after church to clean off his stone and visit him. It's always a great opportunity to talk to the boys about our Dad's and where they are now. It's special to share stories and help them know who their Grandpa's are. I can't wait to meet Scott- I'm grateful to him for such an awesome husband!  Happy 55th birthday!

Brothers

 Brothers That Play Together

Gavin looking for Aaron. "Dah-dah Daddy!!" He loves his Daddy time

The weirdest gift possible- a Doctor Dreadful alien candy thing. It even has a motor to make the guts giggle. Quite disgusting. Jaylen couldn't stomach eating the alien's eyes, even if they claim to be candy!

Gavin is talking A TON more. He is SO sweet at saying "I love you!" and we love when he races through the kitchen saying "GOOOOOOO" with gusto. He just started crawling out of his bed last week- OH NO!!! So we may be attempting to put the boys in the same room. Aaron's really wanting a room to put a desk to study, so maybe bunk beds?!  Gavin is still eating like crazy. He still loves to snack and does whatever big brother Jaylen does.

Did I record my experience with Gavin and my toothbrush yet?
He got a round brush stuck in my hair, graham cracker crumbs all in our bed, and I go in the bathroom to find him scrubbing his dirty BALLS with my toothbrush. All before 9:30 am. QUITE the morning. Let's hope that was the ONLY time he's thought to do that. We have new toothbrushes and we keep them up HIGH!

Jaylen is reading now days! Such a big boy!

Here's some funnies from him lately:

Me: "We just need to run some errands real quick."
Jaylen: "But silly Mom, Aaron can't run!!!! His knee hurts!"

I was asking him silly questions up to Mt Rainier. I asked him if he'd rather eat cat food or 7 whole lemons. He said, "Seriously Mom, that's gross. Is that supposed to be a joke???"  His tone was hilarious. My bad for being SOOO immature!

Family dinner

Every fast Sunday we do a family dinner on the hillside. I couldn't resist taking a picture of the kid's table at family dinner. They were SO adorable. This was Gavin's first time joining the big kids, instead of being in a high chair. So many giggles came from this table...

Jaylen's Angry Bird 5th Birthday Party

Jaylen has been talking about his friend, Paul's, birthday party since last fall. When we asked him what he wanted to do- this was it! He picked out all the snacks on his own and helped put it together. He was so excited!

What an experience we had watching Aaron dumpster dive for alot of these large boxes. As we were giggling in the car at Aaron, I told Jaylen, "This is proof that we will do ANYTHING for you, sweet boy." He giggled and said, "I know, I know. I love you guys."

Jaylen and his buddy Paul from the Y
We gave out invitations to the family on the hillside, some friends from his Primary class, Paul from the Y, and our neighbor's boys. It was a fun time- I so appreciate the love and support of everyone who loves and supports Jaylen!!
