February randoms

Superbowl party with friends. Steph looked like a clown wearing Aaron's shoes.

Oh, I love the weather here!

This silly boy is all about safety when eating his spaghetti

We had a really nice day so we went to the park down the street and "attempted" to fish, played in the river and rode bikes around.

I took Gavin on a bike ride one afternoon. It was so fun to go to a park and play and have some one on one time with my sweet little boy!

We had a fun couples activity where a marriage therapist spoke and we learned some dances.
This picture cracks me up. Aaron is so funny. They had all kinds of random props!

I peed my pants a little bit looking at Steph with those glasses on. Oh man, it's nice to have a friend who is equally as crazy.
Rock climbing at the rec center after swimming with cousins.
Jaylen, my brother Jared and Kylee up the wall!

A truck from California comes up with fresh oranges from their farm every year. They are DELICIOUS!

Oh man, this salad is my go to lately for lunch. It is AMAZING!!!

What the heck is my whimsical side?? This was from member comments at Fitness Ridge. Cracked me up..
We had all this awesome weather and then over Aaron's birthday it dumped snow! The boys loved it!

Warming up their toes

Chinese New Year and classroom

Jaylen came home all excited and dressed up for Chinese New Year. He hung his little decorations all over the house. It was interesting to hear him explain the reason for the year of the (animal). Which this year is the year of the goat!
I went in for Jaylen's parent teacher conferences. His teachers (Ms. Angona and Ning Lao Shi) said he was doing a great job. His reading is absolutely off the charts, and he's ahead in math. Ning Lao Shi said he's doing a fabulous job at Chinese because he is so visual and is great at copying and remembering characters. He does struggle at making weird noises while he's working and has a hard time transitioning between centers. His best buddy is a little boy named Porter. Porter is the smallest kid in the class, and Jaylen is the biggest. She said Jaylen is so sweet and protective of his little friend. They are the truest friends she's seen. It was fun to hear about how he is at school. I couldn't be more proud!

His Chinese classroom is sensory overload!! WHOA! It's like being in a foreign world- and then to think Jaylen spends half his day in here everyday learning Chinese. Wild!

Gavin drew this picture while we were waiting for Jaylen to get home from school. Gavin said, "This is a picture of Buppy and me. I just miss Buppy too much Mom." It made my heart melt.

Fitness randoms

My early morning TRX class has been really fun. Such a great, friendly group of people. I love being able to run there and run home after class. It makes for a great workout. (6.2 miles round trip)

I got this sweet comment sheet last month..

On mornings that I have a little more time, I run a longer route home from TRX. Watching the sun rise over this trail is an amazing experience. Definitely starts my day off right!

Early morning runs along the trails. So therapeutic!

Doing some exploring on the trails in Ivins.

I took Steph out on the trails for her first time. It was an amazing morning! We got a little lost, but it was fun to explore some new areas!

Aaron's 33rd Birthday!

Aaron turned 33 on February 23rd! We quickly used his birthday gift card to Outback and stopped to get his favorite Dairy Queen ice cream cake. We also did our breakfast crepes for breakfast on Sunday.

So fun to celebrate our sweet Daddy's birthday!!

All these pictures were so adorable, I couldn't choose, so I'm just including them all. Gavin was so snuggly on him!

Hiking White Rocks in Snow Canyon

The weather has been amazing- so we set off to hike in Snow Canyon. We did a new trail along the north end of Snow Canyon. It was beautiful at the top!
Jaylen is hardly on the trail- he loves to blaze his own path.

Making sand angels

The boys were having fun finding cactus and especially ones that matched their height.

Brianhead Trip

I'm super fortunate to have a friend/client who has a condo off the slopes in Brianhead. She kindly offered for us to use it. The boys have been asking about snow all winter. I planned our trip up without telling the boys- not even Aaron.

It was fun to pack up the car, get everyone in and just start driving, having the boys guess where we were going. We got past Cedar and Jaylen freaked out. "I don't even know where we're going!! I want to go home!!!" It's so funny the things that set him off sometimes. Once we pulled into the snow, the boys were SO excited! Amazing that so much snow is only 1 1/2 hours away!
It was so cozy by the fireplace. Such a fun, relaxing evening!

Jaylen was all excited to make Aaron breakfast in bed the next morning for Father's Day. It was really sweet how thoughtful he was to think of it all on his own. They decorated his plate and lovingly gave him the last of the pringles and a muffin.

The kids were up super early- THERE IS SNOWWWW!!! (We got their late the night before so they didn't really get to see our surroundings too well the night before).

The first ride down was SO exciting for Gavin. He squealed for joy. And just as quickly, he melted down from having cold hands. A new pair of waterproof gloves solved that for the rest of the day!

The snow drift was so high!

Gavin with Olaf.  Gavin kept giggling about his carrot nose.

Jaylen was sweet to help pull Gavin

Aaron and Gavin cruising down!

We had such a fun, fun couple of days in the snow. It was hard to leave the 70 degrees we were having in St. George to go to snow, but seeing the boys beam with excitement made it so worth it! I love this sweet, little family of mine!
